Start with about 2 pounds of ground meat (1 like to use a mix of 1 lb ground turkey and 1 lb ground beef or sausage) and 1 large diced onion. Add salt and pepper and brown well over medium-high heat. Add 1 large can of diced tomatoes with the juice, 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (a nice chunky one is my favorite in this), 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water. Cover and simmer on high about 10 minutes or until the rice starts to soften.
Add 1 medium head of diced cabbage. Cover and simmer until the cabbage is tender. Add 1/2 cup mozzarella or Italian-blend shredded cheese and stir well. Cover and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Top with 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Italian-blend shredded cheese. Cover and simmer 2-3 minutes more until the cheese is melted.
Serve with your favorite garlic bread. Great for a crowd. Cheap. Easy. Filling. Comforting. Everything "Un" stuffed cabbage should be.

My husband LOVES cabbage and will love this recipe :) Thanks so much for linking up to Creative Thursday this week. I can't wait to see what you link up next week. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks, Michelle. My husband does too but the kids don't care for cabbage so much. This one keeps us all happy - he gets what he wants, kids don't notice the cabbage so much and I don't have to spend half a day slaving over it! :)
